Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address and sign-in credentials (or the identifier provided by Google or Apple when you sign in with them).
• Vehicle information you enter: make, model, year, licence plate, specifications, and ownership details.
• Records you create: fuel entries (date, quantity, price, odometer, payment method), service entries (items, costs, garage), and any photos you attach.
• Device and usage data: device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and analytics events such as which screens are opened. We use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Mixpanel for this.
• Consent records: which version of the Terms and this policy you accepted, and when.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Services: store your vehicles and records, calculate fuel economy and costs, and sync them across the devices signed in to your account.
• Send service messages: email verification, onboarding emails, refuel and service reminders, and a monthly summary of your vehicle spend. You can turn notifications and emails off in the app.
• Keep the app reliable: diagnose crashes, measure performance and understand which features are used.
• Respond to support requests.

3. Receipt scanning

Receipt text recognition runs on your device using Google ML Kit. The receipt image is not uploaded for recognition. Only the values you confirm on the review screen (amount, volume, price and similar) are saved to your account.

4. Information sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers that run the Services on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, notifications, analytics and crash reporting), Brevo (transactional email), Mixpanel (product analytics) and Vercel (website hosting and analytics). Each processes data under its own terms and only to provide its service to us.
• Public authorities, where required by law or to respond to a valid legal request.
• A successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

5. Data security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud through Firebase and is encrypted in transit and at rest by the platform. Access within our team is limited to what is needed to operate and support the Services. Records you delete are first soft-deleted so they can be restored if deleted by mistake, and are then removed.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We work to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can view and edit your profile and records in the app, manage signed-in devices, and delete your account and its data from Settings at any time. For anything else, contact us at the address below.

If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies. The app records your consent to each version of this policy and asks again when it changes. You may withdraw consent by deleting your account.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and records for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data and records are deleted from our systems, except where we must keep limited information to meet legal obligations. Analytics data is aggregated or deleted according to the provider's retention settings.

8. Children's privacy

The Services are not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page, update the date at the top, and ask for your consent again in the app when the changes are material.
